Terms, disclaimers & acceptable use

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of MenloVox, including the website, dashboard, account features, billing tools, support tools, uploaded background sounds, and AI voice-changing functionality. By using MenloVox, you agree to these Terms.

Last updated: June 8, 2026

1. MenloVox is a voice-changing software platform

MenloVox provides tools for browser-based audio capture, voice configuration, audio transformation, account management, billing, support, and optional integrations. MenloVox does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, latency-free, or studio-grade output in every browser, device, network, or streaming setup.

2. Account registration and security

You may sign in using Google OAuth or email magic-link sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account, protecting magic links, safeguarding connected API keys, and monitoring your account activity. MenloVox may automatically sign out inactive dashboard sessions for account security.

3. Voice consent and identity rules

You may only use voices, voice IDs, recordings, uploaded audio, generated voices, cloned voices, and voice settings when you have the necessary rights, permissions, and consent. You may not use MenloVox to deceive people, impersonate someone without permission, commit fraud, evade detection, harass, threaten, extort, defame, or violate the law.

If you use a voice associated with a real person, public figure, performer, employee, customer, friend, family member, or private person, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent and complying with applicable laws and platform policies.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not use MenloVox for:

  • Phishing, social engineering, credential theft, scams, or fraud.
  • Impersonation without consent or deceptive identity masking.
  • Harassment, stalking, threats, hate, abuse, or sexual exploitation.
  • Illegal robocalling, spam, telemarketing, or unauthorized outreach.
  • Misleading political, financial, medical, legal, or emergency communications.
  • Bypassing moderation, security tools, fraud checks, or platform restrictions.
  • Creating content that violates third-party rights or laws.
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, overload, scrape, attack, or disrupt MenloVox.

5. ElevenLabs and third-party services

MenloVox may integrate with ElevenLabs and other providers. If you connect your own ElevenLabs API key, you authorize MenloVox to use that key to submit voice-conversion requests you initiate. You are responsible for your own ElevenLabs account, credits, rate limits, billing, API key security, voice permissions, and compliance with ElevenLabs' own terms, policies, and provider rules.

If MenloVox provides hosted voices through a platform account, such access may be limited, reviewed, revoked, rate limited, or disabled at any time to control abuse, cost, safety risk, or provider-policy compliance.

6. Billing, subscriptions, credits, top-ups, and refunds

Paid features may be sold as subscriptions, usage credits, top-up packs, or other plans. One app credit generally represents one processed voice second unless otherwise stated. Credits, minutes, plan limits, and hosted voice availability may vary by product and may be adjusted to prevent abuse or reflect third-party provider costs.

Stripe may process payments and manage subscriptions. Unless required by law, payments for used credits, consumed voice minutes, completed top-ups, renewal periods, and promotional credits are not refundable. If a refund is approved, MenloVox may deduct used credits, revoke unused promotional credits, disable paid features, or reduce the account balance by the refunded amount.

Subscription plans renew automatically until canceled through the billing portal or support. Canceling prevents future renewal but does not automatically refund already-used service time or consumed credits. If local law gives you a mandatory cancellation or withdrawal right, MenloVox will honor that right and may prorate or offset amounts for service already provided where allowed by law.

7. Uploaded background sounds and copyright responsibility

Pro users may upload custom background sounds only if they own the audio or have the legal right to use it with MenloVox, livestreams, recordings, videos, avatars, and other distribution channels where they use the output. You may not upload copyrighted music, sound effects, recordings, broadcasts, samples, or other media unless you have the necessary rights and licenses.

MenloVox may validate file type, file duration, file size, and technical metadata; reject or delete unsupported uploads; remove files that appear abusive, unlawful, unsafe, or infringing; and preserve records needed for security, billing, or legal requests.

8. Audio processing disclosure

MenloVox captures audio in your browser when you start a live or test voice session. Speech that passes MenloVox's voice/noise checks may be sent to MenloVox servers and third-party voice providers for processing. Muted audio and obvious dead air are designed not to be sent for conversion, but you should stop the live session when you do not want audio processed.

9. Data retention, deletion, and account deletion

MenloVox may retain account records, billing records, credit ledger records, usage summaries, support tickets, audit logs, security events, and upload metadata as needed for service operation, compliance, abuse prevention, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Custom background sounds may be deleted when you delete them, lose access to Pro for more than the retention period, close your account, or violate these Terms.

To request account deletion, contact support from the email address on your MenloVox account. We may need to retain limited records that are required for billing, tax, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

10. Cookies and consent choices

MenloVox may use essential cookies, session storage, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in, security, dashboard preferences, cookie consent, billing flow continuity, abuse prevention, and analytics where enabled. Blocking essential cookies may break sign-in, dashboard, billing, or live voice features. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for more information.

11. Abuse reports and copyright/DMCA process

To report abuse, impersonation, fraud, illegal content, or misuse, contact support with the account email, relevant URLs, timestamps, screenshots if available, and a clear description of the issue. To report alleged copyright infringement involving uploaded media, include identification of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy statement made under penalty of perjury, and a physical or electronic signature of the rights owner or authorized agent.

12. No emergency, professional, or regulated use

MenloVox is not designed for emergency communications, public safety, regulated legal/medical/financial advice, identity verification, mission-critical operations, or any use where failure or delay could cause harm. Do not rely on MenloVox for emergency calls or critical communications.

13. Livestreaming and platform responsibility

You are responsible for how you route, publish, stream, record, or distribute transformed audio. You must comply with the rules of platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Discord, Zoom, OBS, social networks, marketplaces, and any community where you use MenloVox audio.

14. Suspension and enforcement

MenloVox may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts, sessions, hosted voice access, credits, custom sound uploads, or API-key use if we believe there is abuse, security risk, chargeback risk, provider-policy risk, illegal activity, or violation of these Terms. We may also preserve logs or account records as needed for security, billing, compliance, or abuse investigations.

15. Disclaimers

MenloVox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, compatible with every device/browser, free from delay, or suitable for every streaming setup. Voice output quality depends on microphone quality, browser support, network conditions, third-party providers, selected voice, and user configuration.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MenloVox is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost profit damages arising from your use of the service, third-party outages, platform enforcement, voice misuse, account compromise, billing-provider actions, uploaded media, or AI output quality.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Continued use of MenloVox after updates are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and contact support for account or billing questions.

18. Contact, support, and reports

For support, billing questions, refund requests, account deletion, safety concerns, copyright complaints, DMCA notices, or abuse reports, use the support page. Please include the relevant email address, account details, URLs, timestamps, and a clear description of the issue.
